Given all the backup, I am surprised to hear how fortunate it has been lately for students going after tailhook slots. I would have guessed slots would be just about impossible to get since Kingsville and Meridian are so overloaded right now.

Couldn't find anything with a search. When I first got to Vance, we were told training for the E-6 would be moved to the T-44 in Corpus. Now I'm hearing different things. Any word on if/when the change will take place? Thanks guys.

This needs a lot of work man. I would not count on anonymous strangers on a website to help you, however. Get somebody who is close to you with great writing skills to help you make it perfect. You do not want ANY mistakes.

I always say, if you suck at math without a calculator (like me), for the ASTB go and buy a GRE/GMAT math review book because it covers all types of math problems on the ASTB. Like the ASTB, the GRE and GMAT also prohibit calculators.

With a GPA of 2.36 you would probably have to ace the ASTB to get looked at. To play devil's advocate here, why should the board pick you over a guy with a high GPA who was at the library every night studying his ass off proving his ability to work hard and do well? Doesn't he deserve it more?

Your GPA is very good. Before I went to OCS, I worked at NRD New England for a month or two answering the phone asking questions about things like GPA. Yours is higher than the vast majority of callers. I don't know what the numbers look like for actual applicants, however.

Regarding number 4, that sounds like something that could be explained in the comments section of your application (assuming the Marines have a section similar to the one the Navy has). Additionally, I would get a recommendation letter from somebody in your high school telling them you are a...
