The NW side of Enid is the best place to live. Don't live East of the tracks running through town. Many instructors who were stationed there chose to live on the north side of OKC in Edmond and commute to work. It is a solid 50 minute drive to and from Vance, but it is much better housing...

Rent a bike and ride around Coronado, drink Mai-Tai's at the Hotel Del Beach bar, and go to a Padres game....at least thats what I did with my few days in San Diego.

Sometimes the housing lady on base has a good hookup or two so if you can contact her ASAP you may be able to find a house off base. Try Coldwell Banker also, it seems like they have most of the places in Paulson Falls. Good Luck

It might be for a Top Secret clearance. I had one done after I was Pro rec'd for BDCP which I also thought was quiet weird but everything was fine. Don't sweat it.

It is just the 3rd class swim test: jump off a 15 ft platform, dead mans float for 5 mins, and swim a couple of laps....nothing difficult. If you can't float then remember........shit floats. The swimming is easy and nothing to worry about at OCS.

I tell you what, that Vance option is looking better and better everyday. At least if you go that route you have a chance of finishing primary before you hit LTCDR:p I am actually considering it.....

Just assume that the Navy or those who will investigate you have your prior ROTC paperwork and be truthful. You may get investigated for a TS clearance very soon (I did between Pro-rec and final select) and they will find that stuff. What are you going to tell them when the find out you lied...
