Thats all we VP guys need to hear. We're too scared and cautious to ACTUALLY be aggressive, but if we feel like our lives suck hard enough, and we spent long enough in preflight, we can take solace in thinking that we bring something to the fight.

If you're in P-3/P-8 and you have a flight its a full 16 hour work day at least. Unless its an easy home cycle flight, but even then a short day is probably about 10 hours.

P-8 has plenty of extra room for ZFW. Max GW requires some trade offs (fuel for bouys, etc.) AtA refuel is for one purpose only. I don't see it extending on station times during ASW or extending on station times all that much period. MPRA may change its collective mind about that, but...

Just push to stay in Jax. Even if you get selected for P-3s, if you stay in Jax you'll be P-8 by the end of your first sea tour. That said P-3s in Jax is going to be hard to get being that there aren't many left.

We have 5 or 6 URL Os in my squadron that have tattoos visible in short sleeve uniforms. Besides having visible tattoos wasn't really the topic of conversation... it was tattoos, and tattoos on officers in general.

Those are CAT II and III ILS. Your aircraft has to be certified for CAT II in order to use the CAT II mins, or the CAT III in 0/0 situations. Maybe I'm not understanding your question though. I don't think any Navy a/c are certified past CAT I.

Agree you can't proactively do anything about the chain of custody but you should be concerned about it. You should be aware, and ask questions if you see / notice something that gives you any doubt about the coc you should, be ready do defend yourself.

Chain of custody is absolutely something he should be concerned about.... this is his potential career.... just like I as a commissioned officer, with wings, and an operational squadron should be concerned with the chain of custody.

With 'every pass being graded' how does that play out in the squadron? After you qual, if your trap GPA drops to low is that akin to failing a NATOPS check or an IX? What are the consequences? When to they kick in?
