I wasn't there but 10 week OCC classes have pretty high attrition + cold = people quit/break.

Roger. However if they're like mine they're all chocked full of doodling and chicken scratch from pretending to write during all those orders and debriefs. Pretty useless. On another note, the naval correspondence manual and PES manual is nice to have in a handy place.

I'd keep all that OD under armor you spent $100 on. You never know when that will come in handy. As for all those Write in the Rain notebooks...probably not.

If you want to be a Marine you don't have to worry about it. We don't fly them. Go see an OSO. He'll answer all these questions for you with the most current information.

Sporty's pre-tests repeat the same questions way too much. I also saw really off the wall questions on the FAA. I can't think of any specifically now.

If you're a Marine, don't do this. You'll find yourself pulled into the dreaded MOC office as a stash job so you can see the big picture.

I have no experience with Navy OCS so I generally keep my yap shut on the subject. However, from Marine OCS I can honestly say: 100% of people who quit attrite from OCS.

Still, zero week was tedium beyond words run by clueless lieutenants. I guess the same could be said for the rest of the POI.;)
