I'm not sure I understand what you're mad about. The fact that someone can buy an F-18 online? From what I could see it was nothing but a bunch parts, but they would assemble it for 9mil. I think the gov. got on it and stopped them from posting that. F-18's aren't top secret though, are they?

I was asked by my OSO if I had a preference of first or second increment. Everyone from my area got what they requested. I'm going first.

I submitted my packet in late October and didn't hear back till early January. There were other guys I took my contracting PFT with and they heard back in two to three weeks. We were all aviation contracts too. I'm not sure why this is, but I guess that it varies.

One of Us is a good read, but not for $62 (what I paid when I ordered it). Personally, if you've gone through the process or have experience with the Marine OSO community in general it doesn't really shed any new light on that. It's definitely a motivator and has good insight on 'old Corps'...
