If you drop your air contract at TBS be willing to get something you really have no interest in. If you are willing to chance it, then go ahead. Then you can be back on Airwarriors in 8 months telling other Lt's to not drop their air contracts.

That being said, if your girlfriend sends pictures she will get "rated" by the staff in front of the platoon. In fact, my whole platoon got on line with pictures of their girlfriends while the Sgt. Instructors graded each girlfriend on a finger scale.

He'll be able to call on weekends after the third week. Mail is still a big deal for the candidates throughout the entire 10 weeks. Getting you the address quickly is not the Marine Corps priority.

One of his first three days there he will send a form letter to his parents outlining what his address will be. That will include his Company and Platoon. The mail at OCS is sketchy so he may not recieve any letters for a week or so. The staff can use mail as another stressor and often do.

This is going around TBS too. The first rumor was that LT's were going to be housed in the old Corporals Course barracks there next to the parade deck...until they tore them down a month or so ago. Now the rumor is some of them will live out in town. Like everything around here, we'll see.

There's multiple Companies on deck at TBS so the staff doesn't need time between them to prepare. The staffs will more or less roll from company to company but with a few months in between. For example Delta company's staff will be the Bravo Co. Staff and so on.
