i've had friends go through AF primary... a positive mental attitude is essential. Hooking a ride doesn't mean as much as it does in the navy so don't let it get to you. Plus, No EP's in the plane! :-)

Don't try that in Primary/Advanced. Even if you never UNSAT a flight and always make MIF you can still get an NSS below 35 which often means attrite. Academic tests are another story. I doubt they even count for anything.. just pass with an 80.

I think the standards are different between men and women just as they're different for age groups. The PRT measures your physical ability based on your capacity. The navy cares how physically fit you are so you don't have a heart attack if you have to run a distance or are in a stressful...

they figure if you start out with perfect/normal vision that it is less likely your eyes will get that much worse. After you start your flight training the military has invested so much money in you it is not cost effective to get rid of you at that point.

yeah i was adjutant in 2003.. hardly stood watch but i had a small class. i would say 4-6 hrs of sleep was normal for me. 7 hrs on a good day.. likes sundays after a night of drinking at sevilles/mcguires but still had to get up for church.. mmm krispy kreme..

kinda off topic but: i don't think ASTB is a good measure of how well you'll do... unless you take it without preparation (i.e. no arco books or gouge). anyone can ace it if you know what type of questions they're going to ask. i think a better measure of how well you'll do is what grades...

use the RIOT trainer at first to help you with orientation.. i.e. radial to radial, over the station and point to points. All the sims are "canned" as in you know exactly what you'll be doing... however when you get to the plane most IP's like to mix things up on you..i.e. you won't know where...
