I think it depends on who's running the PRT. For BDCP I've had the recruiter run it twice and we could crash after we were done both times. However, last time we had an Ensign fresh out of OCS who ran it and made us do it "OCS style" -- we held above the ground for the full 2 minutes.

Generally speaking you seem good to go with exception to your citations. The selection board will likely need a very good explanation. Hopefully some time has passed since your last incident, and you can show that you've grown up.

If I were you, I'd apply anyway to see what the board says. Thse scores seem relatively good (OAR on the low side), but it's up to the board, not your recruiter. In the mean time, keep studying -- just in case. Remember, the ASTB is only one part of your overall package. Best of luck!

Was the ASTB score your only weak area? If so, then write that short and simple letter explaining your motivation for a position as an Officer (don't ever ask to become a pilot, you're an Officer first). If not, find weak areas in your package and work on them before/during/after submitting...

Whenever we do PRT for BDCP, we never do Sit and Reach. I cannot speak for your command area, but I would be surprised if it was used to determine your eligibility in BDCP.

I disagree. I worked for a bank for several years and I know that "no credit" is just looked at the same way as "bad credit". Even that one little credit card helps...unless you make late payments, incur overages, and conduct other financially irresponsible behaviors...

Depending on what branch you're looking to into, you may need to get PRK done first. There has been some debate about whether or not the Navy is applying SCL waivers to OCS applicants. Last I heard only the Marines were doing that. Check out this tread for more info...

Has anyone read "Fighter Combat: Tactics & Maneuvering" by Robert Shaw? I just picked that one up and was curious what others thought about it. I'd recommend reading "Flags of Our Fathers" by James Bradley.
