I always used to tell everyone like..."man if it was up to me EVERYONE would do the run", like its a mile and a half, there's no excuse not to be able to do it....and everytime someone asked me why...I responded with the "what if some real world shit goes down in deployment and we're in danger?? show me please how are you going to ride the elliptical to safety" lol
alright let me get into my paddle boat and row myself to safety ??

Honestly never thought about it like that. Very good point..

10:30 ain't too bad if you consider the minimum is 15:23
15:23 minimum? For a 1.5 mile run? Where is this minimum you speak of? That's like a 40-44 year old male minimum.

I was confused by him saying he's a slow 10:30 but is that for a 1.5? That's not slow. lol
What are the requirements for our initial and final test at OCS? I went through 9 weeks of OCS with the Marine Corps (got injured), but their requirements were much easier to find. I've searched low and high and can't figure it out.
Based on your age and sex:
Satisfactory Medium for the first Indoctrination Phase.
Satisfactory High for Officer Candidate Phase.
Good Low for Candidate Officer Phase.

If you're already at a Good Medium you don't have anything to worry about.

Good word here, I’m a former command ACFL, administered the prt more times than I can count and I can attest, you get no glory points for doing 100 pushups. Know the minimums and what a realistic best case number for you personally is that passes but won’t gas your cardio and hit that number. If you can hit the max for the PRT without gassing yourself, stop right there and take your points. All the money is made on the run.
sorry if dumb question but is the PRT score averaged? say you got excellent low (75) in one event but only satisfactory high (55) in another event, is your overall score 65 or do you fail because you didn't hit good low (60) on all events?

Good question. I think it would be an average across events that gives you your "Good Low" so if you didn't hit one event at a good low I don't think that fails you as long as the average is still a Good Low?

I think that's different from Indoc in the first week where the only thing below Sat. Med. is not passing the event so you'd fail the whole test.

I guess the whole point would be to be well above whatever score you need for each category then you don't have to worry about it! lol.

its a weighted average, don't remember the exact weights, but its something like 15% Pushups 15% Sit Ups and 70% Run......something like that....that's why they say....its all about the run.... if someone here wants to pitch in before I get a multitude of people with rakes and torches outside my home....I'd appreciate it

Negative. That's how the USAF weighs it.

USAF:

28948

USN:

28949

Big difference in points distribution. USN is far more fair IMO.

Market is in a really interesting place right now. Very frothy, to put it mildly.
Yeah I have pulled back the reigns a little but last March I bought up a ton of airline, cruise, and casino stock. All seeming to bounce back. Also Tesla splitting was a nice bonus, really hoping that Elon wants them to join the Dow in hopes they split again!
