Just got back from taking my exam. Went in cold turkey and left with a 3/4/4 41. Being that I'm coming from ROTC I believe I need all 5's and a 50 to "pass" (correct me if I'm wrong). Anyways, I plan on studying for the next month and getting some solid scores...plausible?

MMR is alive and thriving! It's actually a pretty good deal right now that is only getting better. Last I checked guys were getting about 8K in SIP per yr. I'm here at SUNY now in the unit (2/C), so the OP can PM me with any specific questions. @helolumpy: We got the bigger boat:icon_tong

A bit off topic... What role exactly is the Prowler playing now in OIF? I can't really imagine and feasible anti-air threat that would be causing problems now that the "bad guys" have chosen a war of attrition.

No scholarship=No commission...unless you get picked up for advanced standing, which I have only seen happen once. However, being that you are a sophomore, you only have one semester to pick up a scholarship or get on advanced standing. Make getting that scholarship your goal! What school??

This is just horrible. Pray everyone...please. Seems like were moving more and more towards a society where rationality doesn't apply when it comes to one's boldness. Especially when it comes to feelings towards the military. This is REALLY sad.

Don't forget about the 3 and 3.5 yr scholarships that are available. I went in as a CP'er, worked hard and stayed involved in my battalion; and myself and a bunch of other Mids got picked up for 3.5 yr scholarships after our first yr. Perk to that was Uncle Sam gave us back pay for the spring...

From the outside looking in, seems like your biggest stains are your GPA and PRT scores. See what you can do about those, and if your recruiter says nothing; shoot the ball and hope for the best. Good luck!

This is my first time hearing of such an incident and that surprises me because so many were KIA/MIA. Post-Vietnam have anything to do with it?

If your in the position submit a BDCP package (in school) right now I'd say go for it; your going to have to go to OCS either way and the BDCP benefits definitely wouldn't hurt at the moment. If you don't get accepted you can always apply for OCS after you complete school. Good luck

I just picked up a PNS scholarship last week after my first yr. Funny thing is it applies to my last (spring 08) semester, so the Navy will be giving me reimbursement for what I've paid. So somehow I got a 3.5 yr scholarship although I applied for a 3 yr :confused: Anyone heard of this before...

You can answer those questions. Now as for our suggestions, I believe we'd all be more than happy to throw some suggestions your way. If your looking for your "normal" college experience , I'd say go rotc. It all comes down to personal preference. Good Luck.

I can second. I actually met a 53 pilot who this happened to while in Indonesia during relief ops. I can't remember name or rank but he was speaking at my H.S to students, I think he was an instructor and he actually flew a Bell 206 onto our football field...
