Pilot/NFO Board FY 19- Oct. 2, 2018

My OR said in a meeting a few weeks ago they are convening one last board in September before the end of the FY. That’s all I know

Anyone that was selected from July on is FY 19, and they start picking the next FY about March/April, that is how OCS quotas work.

I understand that from earlier readings through the thread. I’m just passing the information I was informed of. Said there is definitely another board convening in September

So the feedback everyone here is giving that we're almost entirely certain you were given incorrect info that you might need to double check.

Got my packet completed last Friday, now I'm just waiting to get my MEPS bloodwork back and get a moral waiver approved. With luck, I should be able to make this board!

Is the there a board schedule for FY-19? It’s looking unlikely I’ll make it to the OCT 2 board due to a hiccup at MEPS with my prior service medical record.

Rufio has one in his post history. He hasn't updated his signature yet because FY18 boards aren't finished.

Do any of y'all know anything about moral waivers? I need one for a speeding ticket I wasn't able to get reduced and I'm curious how that'll affect my chances of selection. A friend of mine flying Seahawks said he knew guys who had multiple waivers, and that I shouldn't worry but I figured I'd ask here, too. Also, I'm probably not going to make this board as my MEPS stuff hasn't gotten to N3M yet.

Just one speeding ticket alone doesn’t merit needing a waiver. Now if you had 6+ traffic tickets...

It was only the one, but I'm in Virginia and the ticket was for reckless driving, which is a misdemeanor and treated very harshly compared to other states, being a criminal offense. My fine was in excess of $300, so it counted as a misconduct offense for the Navy. I know that a criminal record is considered a negative for pilot applicants, but how negative, exactly, is what I don't know. Would they not PROREC an otherwise quality applicant for something like that?

Addenda: I should also note that that is the only ticket I have ever received. My OR isn't worried and has had applicants with moral waivers before, but never pilot applicants needing one.

Sorry for my comment earlier, I was confusing the board date with the application date. My recruiter said the next board is in February, does anyone happen to know the application date for this one?
