Has anyone ever thought of getting a custom Breitling order started on this site. The last I checked, the minimum order is 50, and they usually give you a VERY good deal. Something that could work is a watch with pilot wings on the face, and a different watch with NFO wings on the face. Just a thought, and a post to see if anyone else would be interested.

Any input is appreciated!

50?! Holy crap. Good luck getting together 50 folks willing to drop that kind of coin on a watch, even on this site. Not saying it isn't a good deal, mind you.

We had an Omega order at my last command. It was like pulling teeth to get 8 people together to place the order (I wasn't a participant).

Good luck on your quest though. those are really nice watches!

Just for reference, this was as of 2 months ago.

MILITARY LOGO WATCH ORDER REQUIREMENTS

• Only 3 models are available for logo printing: Emergency, Airwolf and Aerospace – please see our website to view dial color options

• For the Emergency & Airwolf watches: a minimum order of 50 pieces is required of the same dial color and same logo design.

• For the Aerospace: a minimum order of 25 pieces is required of the same dial color and same logo design.

• Camera Ready artwork for logo sent by e-mail file, preferably jpeg. Logo artwork sent must be exactly how you want it to appear on the dial (images of patches are not acceptable)

• Pantone color numbers (PMS) are required (A Pantone color is an international printing language providing an accurate method for the reproduction and control of color) – we cannot create an image or logo dial without these numbers

• Prepayment in the form of one bank check is required after the image of the watch has been approved by squadron

• Shipment of watches are made to one U.S. address, not to individual addresses – we do not charge for freight.

• Sales tax is charged only on orders shipping to CT, NY, FL, IL & CA

• 6 month approximate delivery term after payment has been received and image has been approved

• Final Sale - No returns or exchanges

Omega contacted...awaiting reply.

Bummer on the 50 piece min for the Airwolf...decent looking Breitling.

May I suggest a poll to get an idea if anywhere near the numbers are available for either watch?

Well if I were winged and the prices are good enough I would for sure jump on a X-33 or Speedmaster Professional. But I still have some time to go...

Speedmaster is a nice watch...i'm less of a fan of the X-33. I'd be interested in seeing the price on the Speedmaster.

I felt the same, but there is no special purchase program on the Speedmaster :( So it was the X-33 order for me.

I was under the impression that the X-33 had been discontinued. At least the last I checked at the local Tourneau. I know 25 to 50 is a big number, but I figured this would be a good place to start networking for a project of this nature. When my aircraft community tried this with Breitling a few years ago they were offering cheaper models for customization. We were able to get a quote on the Colt GMT.

I'd be willing to do the work on a venture of this nature if there are individuals interested and it was something that I would qualify to wear (it would be out of place if I had something with Pilot wings instead of NFO wings).

I have an Omega Seamaster Professional and it's an amazing watch. The crystal has not scratched yet (had it five years so far and have taken it through everything) and still looks great. Only complaint is that the band is getting a little loose because the pins are starting to wear.

My first squadron did a buy on the Omega, with the squadron logo on the back, titanium band... Like an idiot, I didn't get in on the deal... couple months later, they show up, and they are getting handed out around the wardroom. A bunch of us that didn't purchase were regretting it.

I have been hoping for awhile that my old squadron (VP4) would buy some watches like this, but every time I ask a current VP4 bubba, I get a blank stare.

I think there was an early thread (a year ago?) when this same question was brought up, with mixed results. I don't know if that order ever went through.

I would be in for a X-33 with pilot's wings on the back. I guess you would have to query Omega to see if they could break the order in half with both sets of wings?

Rog...waiting to hear back from Omega. Another idea might be two pairs, one pilot, one NFO on each watch...we'll see what I hear.
