PRIVATE COMPANY! I don't do social media. AW is the closest I come to it. Are you as bent out of shape about all the column submissions and letters to the editor the NY Times and WAPO do not print? Do you have a solution? Instead of pointing out what you find so disturbing and insisting everyone else be just as concerned, do something about it. There are some suggestions short of government editorial approval that are on the table regarding social media fairness. Pick one and work with your congressman. Me, I prefer liberty over a solution that gives the government more control.
I'd personally prefer the porn. The battle lines have been drawn and everyone is in their trench. Nobody is getting convinced to think any differently than they already do, either on this forum or in this country. The opposing viewpoints are readily available to anyone who cares to look. I'd wager that not one single mind has been changed in the course of this 25 million post thread. That's where we are as a country right now. We demonize those who share different views, and unquestioningly presume our own to be infallible. I happen to agree with a lot that has been said about the mixed messages provided by govt leadership, and I too question the utility of masks (especially given what qualifies as a mask). But this thread is a lot of talking past each other.
Didn't we talk like 80 pages ago about how the Delta variant appeared before the vaccine was even available? Alpha was detected way back in September. Vaccinated people don't cause variants any more than unvaccinated do. Viruses evolve if given enough time to do so, just like any other organism. The flu does this all the time, hence why we get a new shot each year.

My point was that they didn't need to say anything about ivermectin. They could just let people assume whatever they want, and get some extra money on the side from doctors prescribing deworming medicine off-label for a viral infection. But they issued a press release instead saying it doesn't work for anything other than its currently approved uses.
You still haven't answered the "why," by the way. Why should anyone consider an unproven drug in dosages higher than considered safe, when several drugs that have been tested and proven to work and were literally designed for COVID are available?
