Hello all, I'm Christian
I am currently compiling a list of study/practice materials for the ASTB-E. I'll post what I am studying currently and what I have found within this forum with links. Currently I am a graduate assistant at Fairleigh Dickinson University, and the curriculum is pretty easy so I can put a lot of effort into my studies for the ASTB-E. My undergrad was in Exercise Science so I have done lots of work with physics and mechanics, just within the human body. I definitely need to brush up on that though... I have yet to do MEPS or schedule the test, and I don't plan on scheduling to take it till I graduate in May. But I know joining the Navy is the next step for me, so I am preparing mentally and physically for OCS and beyond. Even now I am studying up to 30 minutes a day, so hopefully I can be a 1 and done with (50+ 7+/7+/7+). If there is anything else that y'all think I should use to study please let me know! For those of you preparing to take it like I am, best of luck!
Barron's Military Flight Aptitude test. Just bought on Amazon today for $17 (20% off) If you take 5 minutes to look through this forum you will see that most everybody said this book helped prepare them.
Mometrix ASTB-E Secrets Study Guide. Currently have, and I am definitely learning from it, but wont rely solely on this. Will definitely use it a few weeks before my test because it has good review and good test taking strategies.
Kieno Thomas.
https://www.youtube.com/user/kienothomas/videos Found this guy on Youtube while searching up questions I had while studying. This guy was a military aviator before... not sure which branch... but has hundreds of videos explaining all types of stuff on the ASTB, AFOQT, and SIFT. I'd Recommend looking him up because he has HOURS of of material and is good at teaching it.
TBAS UAV Flash Cards. https://www.proprofsflashcards.com/story.php?title=_36014 This was a pretty fun find in my opinion. At first it was easy because I am pretty good with my directional orientation, that was until I started looking NE or SW... id recommend using the compass rose since apparently its legal to use on the test. Also make sure that you turn "shuffle" on because then you can pretty much guess because its all in order.
Jantzen & Mike ASTB Trainer. https://jantzenx.github.io/ASTB/ A fun game to practice for the flight simulator... For Real! Make sure you have a mouse and headphones so you can get the real feel. Found this today on this forum and instantly bought a mouse for my laptop.
Below this will be links to 2 different large books. The first one is all things Navy... 384 pages worth. The second is about basic machines. Both of these are too large to attach as files so here are the links.

The files below are all different types of study materials I have come across that others on this forum and elsewhere have found useful. Ranging from job description, naval and aviation history, math, to basic machines. Feel free to use it as needed!
Hope this helps y'all! Again, let me know if you think there is something else i should add to my study material! Good Luck
