Sounds like you got lucky then. I've had them calculate the amount of tax I paid out of state vs. the Florida rate right in front of me when registering new cars on multiple occasions (sometimes costing me the difference on the spot), and each time it's the same routine. Enjoy the cash! :)

Ok, the forms have changed a little bit, but essentially the $100 initial registration fee is being waived - not sales tax. BIG difference. If you don't pay sales tax on the purchase, the state will charge you the tax when you register it at the rate of whatever county you register it in...

As I understand it, they went "patch shopping" for a good looking patch/logo from all the squadrons at Miramar, and they settled on VAW-110's. Changing the squadron name to read VF-1 was apparently not a big hit with the Wolfpack (the real VF-1).

True. You guys will find that the MCX's work well as transfer agents too. If they can't save you money with their bottom line, you can always shop around from online sources and have them do the ATF transfer for you. My old CAG and I have both used them with great success.
