Just an update: I checked in last week, and the way it looks like they are doing it now is you take the next two weeks to get all of your appointments and medical upchit done, and then you take the APIT on Friday of that second week.

Doubtful. The Navy can make as many SNAs as it wants but it can't push them through the pipeline any faster unless they increase capacity. Even with 13 weeks of OHARP the word is to expect a 2+ month wait to class up for API right now.

Have you been seen by MEPS and medically PQ'd by N3M? That is typically the most time consuming part of the process so if you haven't gone through that yet you are unlikely to make it to this board.

The way it works is having the surgery DQ's you, and then 6 months after the surgery you can apply for the waiver. Unless there are any significant complications (dry eye requiring regular use of eye drops, haze/blooming issues at night, etc.) then waivers are readily available.

I would not plan on having any time at least the first 6 weeks for unrestricted internet access, so definitely have auto pay set up before hand and maybe have a family member check on it every couple of weeks or so to make sure there are no issues.
