I've searched and can't find much at all about when the Navy is supposed to be getting the F-22 and the F-35. The wikipedia article about the F-35 says the F-35 is supposed to enter the Navy in 2012. Is this legit? And what are the rumors circulating about the raptor?

I was reading about students practicing for landing on carriers with a painted runway and a meatball on the side. Now, when you first get to the real thing that is moving and has a runway diagonal to the ship's heading....isn't that a little tough at first to land correctly?

I think PUGrad is correct. Ribida and I both got pro rec'd at the same time. He got final select a week or two ago, I just got it today. I don't think final select has anything to do with the next wave of pro recs.

Can anybody explain to me how simple propellor planes like this with one propeller in the middle counteract the torque produced by it? I know helicopters use the tail rotor for that, but there is no visible method used by these planes. Anybody know how planes like this do it?
