Inside the White House before the Abbottabad Raid

Probably not publicly. It's not really smart to badmouth your boss, or senior leadership. Biden has a big mouth, for sure. Who knows if he's pissed anyone off enough to entice them to call him out.

What was your work experience prior to applying to OCS?

I applied the fall after my graduation from college. I worked random office jobs, did some dishwashing and retail/food service stuff throughout high school and college. After college I worked at Guitar Center for a year while I waited for my OCS app to go through. I thought that would be a...

    Left Handed Pilots? Haha

You have a pic or link to that type? If they're compact enough I might consider looking into one of those. I'm a righty. I use one KB on the right and a clear leg strap for approaches, charts, w/e on the left.

Think it's gonna need VertRep support?

Geographic distance is key then. I understand what you mean. It just sounds like an awful lot of eggs to put in one basket. Maybe the wording of "Mobile Sea Base" conjures up inaccurate images in my head.
  10. revan1013

Think it's gonna need VertRep support?

Wouldn't they be concerned about having a single, centralized, floating target with all their resources in one spot? Even if it's mobile would Big Navy divert enough assets to protect it? Would it be integrated into an expeditionary strike group or be escorted in some way?

Well then... maybe I'll just take a vacation there... lol Not directed to me, but I was almost a SNFO. I see. So the Osprey rotors are mechanically connected, but these "Tilt-Props" would be totally separate engines. I think my misunderstanding was a misreading of the article. So you want to be a CAG (but can't)...

Interesting. I would imagine the TACAIR guys that go CAG would be "brought up to speed" on the way rotary aviation works. Or at least have a senior rotary guy in that staff somewhere making sure the fixed-wing CAG knows how to properly utilize his helo assets right?

Thanks Helolumpy. Don't know where else I'd find this random information, so I appreciate it. Does that mean HS (now HSC/HSM) types get a "equal" shot at CAG as well? Or that they basically said "You guys have the Deep Drafts, let the TACAIR guys take CAG" ? I'm always fascinated by the inner...

So you want to be a CAG (but can't)...

Here's a new random stupid question I haven't found an answer for. (ie. my Google-fu is lacking in proficiency) I know the CVNs are very fixed-wing centric, and rightfully-so.
