I think I remember reading somewhere back when they did it that the C-130 had been modified with anti-lock brakes. At the time the technology was pretty new. I think the article also said that the only Navy aircraft that had them was the A-3. Maybe A-4s can add some clarity to my foggy...

Very common. A local flight out of a private airstrip... probably no route intended, just looking around. I've done it lots of times. I'm presently located about 40 miles due north of Yerington right now and the wind is blowing like hell. Not great weather for search and rescue although it is CAVU.

F5 Airframes I toured VMFT-401 at Yuma a couple of years ago, courtesy of the Maint Chief. He told me that the Marines were getting planes purchased from Sweden. They had an upgraded cockpit and much lower time on the airframes.
