So I got a message from a Sgt in Ops that the Wing CG called the squadron looking to talk to me. Personally. I get this message on my second day as a DON Civilian at EWTGLANT. End up talking to one of the guys in the squadron who's been passed over for LtCol twice. Both times, the Wing CG called him. Call another guy that got selected for LtCol. The Group CO is the only one that called him. This does not bode well...

I guess a reserve Capt Phrog guy is such an oddity to the Wing CG that he wanted to call. I was selected. Another one bites the dust...

The Wing CG ended up with 1 voice mail and 5 missed calls from me. He thanked me for my "diligence" in returning his call. My response (Capt for life!!) "Hey sir, it's not every day that a Capt gets a call from a MajGen. I didn't want to fuck it up." At least he laughed...
