EM1, thats awesome! What option did you get picked up for?
Lycurgus, thats good news, did they post to BOL or did you find them on message traffic? Im hoping that I get mine before the holidays. I live in Japan and I still got a lot of shit to do in a small amount of time...

SWO/ED option

I got my orders a couple of weeks ago. I was selected as a PRIMARY SWO, and after NSI I'll get to stay here in San Diego going to SDSU!! YAY!! Congrats to everyone, and I will see you next month!!

I received my orders a few weeks ago and was also picked up for SWO. Im going to the University of Tampa.

Finally received my orders today! (Pilot Selectee) Now to begin the painful DITY Move process. See you all in a month.

What time/day does everyone plan on checking into NSI?

I am driving from VA beach on Thursday, spending a night in NYC, and then heading in on Friday at some point. I have a cousin who is at the war college right now, so I will probably stay the night with him and then check in sometime Saturday morning. I guess we will just be hanging out there over the weekend because I think orientation starts on Monday morning.

I'm glad someone answered! Im from RI, so Im already here on leave, but I don't want to be the first person to check in. I was thinking the same thing about the weekend. I wonder if they have anything planned though. Have a safe drive, see you in a few days!

If NSI still does things like when I was there in 2008 you might want to think about not checking in until late Sunday. Those that checked in on Friday or Saturday had a curfew of midnight. I checked in on Saturday and was really bored. You were not supposed to leave the area either. No one was there so we were on our own. I personally went back to the Groton area and met up with some friends from when I was stationed there and we went to the casinos. I didn't have a problem with the midnight curfew, but some people like to stay out all night.

What do we need to wear when we are checking in? For some reason I am not able to get onto the ocs/nsi website...

I am planning on checking in Saturday afternoon.
