SWO Board 12APR21

Yep, my FINSEL says 11 JUL and one of the active duty guys called the detailer. The detailer said that it would be impossible to revise people’s orders, not to mention people are checking out of their commands already and the maximum time in between PCS locations is 30 days. We’re ROMing.
It is easier to adjust orders for a civilian going to OCS than someone on AD going to OCS since for the civilian going to OCS there is no pay or leave involved.

Impossible to revise orders? Ehhh LOL

As for ROM, since it still states it on the FINSEL I guess we should just be prepared. This will be my third time conducting ROM smh

I would prefer not to ROM since I am fully vaccinated from deployment but if I get to leave a little earlier then that is alright with me!

Hey guys. How did you know that you received your FINSEL? I received the OCS Selection letter stating that I am to report no later than 12 sept 21 and that I was selected to attend ocs on 26 sep. Is that the FINSEL?

Here I am to eat crow. I guess orders got revised yesterday.. With 25JUL and 11 JUL both listed as report no later than. ahahhahah it's a mess. We're waiting for another revision. My FINSEL reflects 11 JUL, but who knows if that's even real life at this point.

Got my FINSEL this morning. 05SEP2021 class, reporting for ROM on the 22nd of August as ordered. Just scheduled my “separation” physicals and submitted all the other DD214 documents to admin ?
Can you tell me what you did exactly? For "separation" to OCS? Did you go to medical?

I am so confused then. So far, after getting that selection letter with the "report no later than" date; everyone has told me that I don't have to do anything else except wait for my orders.

Yes

Yeah, that’s it. I went to ADMIN with my checklist and got the ball rolling. Scheduled the physicals/dental exams too.
I was told today by another AD member that there is no separation physicals since you will still be enlisted when showing up to OCS. It might be different if your contract ends before your school date.

They provided me a checklist with “FLEETER requirements”, so I am just going off of that

Ah, that would make sense. As, noone has instructed me to do anything. In fact, I've been told to do nothing except wait for my orders to post. Ofcourse, I went through the Fleeter checklist that was sent, via email, and have the appropriate docs ready.

So, wait....just to confirm. The letter that was emailed, with the fleeter checklist and service agreenment, and that has "a report no later than date; and OCS start date", is that what I should consider as my FINSEL? Or is there another letter coming?
