Same concept but different technology being pursued by US Army using a different lift vehicle that incorporated NAVAIR technology developed to sense pilot vitals (Navy wanted to be able to tell if someone was suffering by G-LOC or Hypoxia). The issue is how to ensure patient is stable during transport.

The military is becoming more and more tuned towards kids of my generation. Just watch, Microsoft Flight Simulator XI will feature Predators and Reapers...with realistic combat missions...and when the kids playing beat the game, a board of generals and admirals will come out and congratulate them on winning the war (ala Ender's Game :-D)
