Interesting. Coupla things missing. Whole bunch of other new stuff in there too. And they put the engine gauges on the wrong side.
Like MB said, that's where the gauges used to be before the KLN was put in. Webmaster was actually one of the last studs (at least at Whiting) to fly the last 4 non-GPS birds. The stack that is in there is pretty nice looking though.
Also, did anyone else catch the 715hp?
The Weenie would have been a lot more fun with 68% more horsepower.
More power yes, but not "that" much more. The production model that's flying today has 550 SHP.
Calling/emailing about it tomorrow. Two other buddies are interested in going in on it. I still think it's probably cost-prohibitive, but it can't hurt to ask.
I'd be interested to see what you find. I'm guessing $1.something mil. I agree with statesman. I think the issue will be fuel costs. Mx you could probably spread out to be affordable, but 30-40 gallons/hour at $6+/gal will add up. That would be a sweet ride though. I'll admit it, if I lived in Yuma, I'd probably be shooting you a PM.
Really? You "looked into" an L-39? Were you at ALL serious about the proposition? Like... even 10% serious? I am only giving you shit, but like, seriously... a boat is a black hole in which to throw money. A plane is like a boat, but worse.
They're actually pretty easy to look into. There's even a couple of threads on here about them. But paying for 1000#/hour is rough.
