Also my bachelor degree is in economics (Not tech degree) but with enough quantitative elements. And then I did a M.Sc in computer science... also my master degree is not from the U.S, I did it in London England ... and then did a credits conversion to translate it to U.S style gpa ... Might complicate things but my recruiter said it’s fine
Dont give up. I been applying since 2015. this is like my 6 time up lol

As long as I get selected for Khakis this year, CPO/OCS, I will be happy. 2020 has been a year for all of us

I've got an enlisted contract as a CTR that ships in November as a back up to this board. Had a 91 asvab but my vision dq'd me for nuke so CTR was the best I could get. Im now almost 25 but I feel like the economy hasn't yet hit it's low point so I don't see it as a bad option. My step dad was LDO and my mom thinks I'm stupid for enlisting with a degree and doesn't ever think I'll make it to the deckplate if I enlist, so I'm going to try to prove her wrong lol.

So quick question for anyone who can answer. My undergrad gpa was super low at a 2.64 but 18 year old me had little to no vision for my future goals so it was more so a maturity thing at the time. But say I want to apply for the 1810 or 1830 intell boards after I get settled in and some accolades under my belt,
Am I better off taking some easy online gpa booster classes to get my GPA up a bit or just go for my masters? The answer is not so obvious to me since for whatever reason the navy still put more emphasis on your undergrad gpa weighted 2 to 1.
Anyone who can give me some advice on this would be greatly appreciated!!! (Ultimate goal is officer regardless of the designator)

What exactly are your goals? So you want to do a LAT move over into 1810/1830 community? You do know that you will have to compete for that move right? and that's after you have completed your qualifications, so you will once again find yourself in this same position time and time again. Do not waste your time taking classes unless it is towards a degree that you plan on obtaining to use in the future. Going to college online is fine its practically a military staple with our active lifestyle. Its also ok to not know what you want to do right now. The problem that you will face down the road is time, its the only thing you cant back once its gone, for all you know you might decide to go a completely different route once you commission because its a lot of opportunities for Officers once they commission, internships, study abroad, professor, ROTC.

Get a mentor
Talk to your dad
Your mom is low key right and wrong (you would shine no matter what)
Hope this helps

In your case going enlisted isn't a bad choice, your GPA is very low and the average GPA of those selected into the IWC is 3.5

What was the issue with your vision? there are some issues that will allow you to go enlisted but those same issues will prevent you from going officer, even if you are currently enlisted.

I am colorblind, not severely but enough to not pass a PIP test. Even getting the CTR job with a 91 was tough, when I went to select a job I was only offered culinary specialist. I refused to sign for it and the regional master chief in charge of recruiting for like 5 states was pretty pissed I left without signing and pulled some strings to get me CTR a week later. I honestly won't be very picky with any job at all when applying to OCS from within. Whichever community will take me. I have a preference obviously but I'm going to apply to whichever will take me.

I'm just confused on if I can just take random classes still and have that cushion my undergrad gpa or how that even works, do the credits have to have gone towards my degree? Or if I'm better off going for my masters and busting butt to keep my gpa as high as possible to average with my undergrad first. Either way I'm going to get my masters but I'm not sure of taking random classes to help my undergrad gpa is even worth my time?

I would take Master Degree route. Put in the hard work. Then Keep applying. Even if you dont go enlist or commission route that Master degree still will be in your favor for civilian jobs. If you go enlisted, there might not even be time for you to begin a master degree. Even if you do find time, you will be stressing hard on yourself. For us enlisted, everyone of us have an ending point. Some do 20 retire, some over achieve, some do basic minimum to get the Vet status and school benefit, some needs the military as a welfare because of the benefits. You will have less control once you enlist.
