SUPPLY DCO, FEB 2015 BOARD

I would poke around some of the other things to look at the stats of those selected and pick their brains on how many applications they submitted, I would also communicate often with your recruiter about boards, some of those recently commissioned have said they are having a hard time finding a billet, the last time that happened they started cancelling and delaying boards.

This is sadly too true.

Correct. And on that note, does anyone know when the next board (after Feb) is scheduled? I know the schedule doesn't mean it will happen but it'd be nice to know. :) Any info is appreciated.
The next DCO Supply Board : 16 June 2015 Kit submission cutoff with board to meet 20 July 2015

New Information for DCO - I was told by my recruiter that MEPS has to be done prior to kit submission (new rule) due to the fact that many folks who have been selected are showing up at MEPS and not meeting height and weight or failing for some other medical reason.
Anyone heard the same thing? Mine is done, as wells as security clearance...

That only makes sense. I asked to go before anyhow just to make sure the journey CAN be completed. It would be horrible to go through the whole process then get medically DQ'd.

Glad you're finished with it.

Thank you for the info on the next board, I'll be submitting for that one.

With any luck I will get Selected first time up for Supply DCO. I tried Supply OCS on Active Duty and was Selected as an Alternate first time back in 2012, and tried AMDO DCO twice this past year but no luck. Hopefully this will be my time!!!

Good Luck!

I met with one person who is applying Dec DWE in Houston. Seems like a pretty solid application group this time!

Not yet, but a lot of the guys who just finished BQC-NR are having a lot of trouble finding a billet. Most are traveling across the country each month to take billets far away. Definitely paying to play.

probably why the board was pushed, this happened before around 2009 or 2010

Wanted to introduce myself. I won't be applying until the first board of 2016 (finishing my MBA currently). Some stats:
-32 years old
-Non-prior
-Run an importing and manufacturing company

Looking forward to getting to know you guys on here and tracking your progress on the upcoming boards.

Good luck to everyone applying this go round!

Starting this fiscal year, both Reserve Supply and IDC required physicals be completed as part of the submission package. You are certainly correct when you say that people were being selected and then not qualifying medically. However, I think another goal was to reduce the number of applications going to the board. The problem is all of the additional government funds that are being spent on physicals for people that won't ultimately be selected.

I just applied for the DCO Supply Corps for 2015 board. I am currently a DCMA Quality Assurance Specialist (GS-11), prior service coast guard, currently drilling in the Air Guard (E-5) as a Contracting Specialist (6CO31), and serveral years of engineering/project management experience on two major bridge projects in New York. I have a BS from NYU, and currently pursuing a MS in Engineering Management (Quality Management, Supply Chain, Project Management) from NJIT. I scored 10/10/10 (O-6/O-5/O-4 all Supply) on the interviews, and got pretty good LORs from my previous coast guard COs, and ex-managers. I am currently working on level 2 DAWIA for PQM, and Level 1 for contracting. My Undergrad GPS is 2.5, but my MS GPA is currently 3.5...Does anyone think I have a shot at a commission? what do you think my chances are?I been applying for officer for some time now, but this app is my best looking so far....

You look good to me, however, my opinion and five bucks will get you coffee at Starbucks.. They look at the whole person, so I think you look good except the UG GPA may be an issue. Good luck and I hope you get selected!

Thanks so much and I wish you all the best as well. Be diligent and start working on your kit now if you have not already started. Good luck!
