sTUPID qUESTIONS aBOUT ocs

@DBM, how have the didactics been? Harder/easier than you thought before going?
If i understand your question correctly, you're asking about how the teaching/training as been going? So far, easier than expected. Im not saying it's a walk in the park; I don't always sleep much, there's typically something stressful to deal with, adapting to the class team expectations, etc. The only really hard thing, that I've done so far is RLP (because its so subjective) and our class punishment (1000+ word, hand written essay on building procedures, recruit hand writing style. No mistakes; if any you start over. Plus every word has to be numbered and you cant make a mistake with the numbering either. Black pen only).

Other than that, it hasn't been too bad. I was a bit nervous heading to ocs but that's normal I suppose with anything new. I feel pretty adjusted at this point. I do miss some of the things you dont get to enjoy at OCS but I'll survive haha

I’ve heard stories of people failing RLP just for looking at the DI the wrong way haha. Thanks for the reply! That essay sounds so brutal, I guess you really are at the mercy of your senior class.
Yeah it depends who you get for your grader.
My grader was a bit more chill and I got asked some fairly simple bravo questions, at least I think they were (study bravo before you come if possible!) You can auto fail before the inspection fully starts because of things such as dirty head (toilet area) water on the deck (floor), water in the shower/sink, random strands of hair, unset thermostat to auto (lol), and that's basically the majority, if not all the auto fails. But its not as bad as it seems in person. You gotta have 0 attention to detail to auto fail haha

Keeping that stuff clean all the way up to the inspection is a tall order tho, any speck of dust can be considered contraband lol
