1. Yeah, Like helo guys...who love their job and you don't have wings so don't piss on them. And the "to each their own" comment...ohhhhh...I would love to have you as an onwing...you'd learn a lot about a helo...and you'd love it.

2. Unless there is quality spread. It exists. So again, don't piss on an aviator until you've got the wings. Don't buy brown shoes until you have wings. (unless the command makes you) Don't wear your dog tags at Seville. (unless you are at Seville, Iran) Don't wear your brown leather jacket in town (unless it looks like Shaft's and there's no fur around your neck)...and if you do, make sure you tuck the tag in that you'll need later to turn it back into supply.

I guess that's a whole pie...not just pieces.

Bottom line, hop on here, ask good questions like Smurff originally did...then keep your community pickin' to yourself if you don't have wings. You don't see the Jet guys $hittin' on helo bubbas (unless you're an NFO Moderator with a thing for carville). You want to be an aviator...act like one. This board's got some solid officers/aviators.

I think I may have been the only one that new what you were referencing. I was the "military guy" in my fraternity in college. I am notorious for not smiling a lot and always look like I'm pissed off (unless I'm drinking beer :icon_zbee ) For the record, I'm not always pissed off, just when I have to deal with stupid people. So anyway I got tagged pretty early on with that little one liner. Damn thing followed me until I graduated and I bet the b@stards would still remember it if we ever had a reunion.
 
To get this thread back on track, Concur with the slots given at P-Cola last week, at Vance last week there was guy who got a 42.5 and got helo's, another guy got like a 59.8 and got J2, about 2 weeks before that there was a guy who got a 56.5 and wanted helo's, and there was also a guy who got an 81.5 and got J1, obviously. Week before that a 59.8 and got J1. Sorry, I have no gouge on the Corpus selects, seems to be right now if you have jet scores, you'll get them.

What? I had an O-4, when I was in A-pool, tell me I "better get some brown shoes, I'm in aviation now". There are superstitions.. and then there is just being teh ghey.

Agree to disagree my friend...It's 60 bucks that if you don't like aviation/aren't cut out for it you'll not have in the fleet...I guess shoes can wear them too though, not that I've ever seen any. And yeah...It was one of my superstitions...

[Threadjack]That and using the same pair of ear plugs. (Oh I can see you all kringing now...but true, I kept 1 set of foamy ear plugs all flight school) [/threadjack] I promptly threw them away and shotguned a beer for my celebration of HTAC-18 complete (old syllabus).

As a shoe myself, I concur. I actually used to wear brown shoes (as a SWO) whenever I wore my CNT's....even when I was at SWOS the first time. I don't anymore because I don't feel like dealing with the black shoe mentality that wearing brown shoes means you're a traitor. If I was at a command that was predominately anything else but SWO's, I'd be sportin' the brown shoes. I have no wings and you wouldn't be able to make me take them off.

Agreed. They're authorized. If you don't want to wear them, fine. But if you do want to wear them, the CNO has given you his blessing.
