I dont know how they do it in other countries but for our turbo-weenies, the one's that have the shark motif I'm pretty sure denote that they have survived some sort of mishap (i.e. - belly landing, bad bird strike, etc.).
I think that's sort of like the tradition of statues of generals on horses (how many hooves in the air indicates how the general died). It's true, unless it's not.

I can only imagine that the rear-seat crewman is an NFO or enlisted sensor operator. JMHO, of course.

Don't think that you would need to have a FAC-A qual. Purpose of the plane is to support SOF, who will have a JTAC. And depending on what you have loaded, you probably won't be busy down low.
