We actually don't have an OSO in Montana (yes, you were correct MT is Montana) I travel to the Spokane OSO which covers Eastern Washington, North Idaho, and all of Montana. I believe in the last year and a half we have had approximately 10 candidates between OCC and PLC programs from Montana alone. A lot of our candidates come from the University Of Montana in Missoula (where I recieved my degree). It is a popular school with enrollment rising every year (currently about 12,000 students) in a city that is also booming (for Montana) with the population going up about 10 percent a year.Shadow9660 said:do I have my abbreviations wrong, or are you from Montana, Makoslim? If so, does your office even have 3 applicants to send...I would think the only other office with less applicants would be Wyoming or Idaho...
It's is under construction. This is the second time in the last month that they have been working on it. I wonder if they are going over bandwidth?Shadow9660 said:Also, Is anyone else having trouble accessing marineocs.com lately? Just page errors when I try to get it...weird...
makoslim said:you will pay for your plane ticket over there if you fly, and the Corps (<--did you see that PSno23? I went back ond saw that I missed the s again) will reimburse you the soct of the ticket. however if you go home between OCS and TBS, that is on you.
Shadow9660 said:Taxman, how did that work with the plane ticket...they booked everything for you? Or did you have to do it, and they reimbursed you?
Taxman2A said:Where did you get this word? When I went to OCS the corps paid for my flight there and back up front. I haven't heard of that changing.
makoslim said:No body told me, but one day when i was in the office, a candidate who had just gotten back from 185 was talking to the captain about his reimbursment, maybe it is different depending on the OSO. Perhaps some OSOs put a little more extra effort in by getting the tickets for thier cnadidates.
