I haven’t posted a 1000+ times about any of those.

I got the Pfizer, by the way. It was magnificent.

@taxi1 thoughts?
On the variants, the science shows the vaccines continue to be effective against them. Especially the Pfizer. Did I mention I got the Pfizer?

Re; masking...I don't pay attention to what mask behaviors are being modeled, frankly. The only time I read about it is in this thread. An endless, whiny stream of posts. Good god.

When I was on my road trip, if there were people wearing masks in the stores, I wore it out of respect for their concerns. How did they know I was vaxxed? Was I fibbing?

If no one was wearing it, I'd skip it. Same now.

It's worth remembering that back before the mRNA vax hit, we were expecting to be happy if the vax was 70% effective, and would have accepted 50% effectiveness. That's a pretty low bar in comparison to what we ended up with, with the mRNA vaxes that are insanely effective and truly protect the individual. Everyday we get millions more data points confirming it, including against the various variants.

I don't think there's ever been a vaccine this good for anything. China's vaccine sucks in comparison, for example.

In the case where say it was 50-60% effective, it'd not be a truly trustworthy protection for the individual. Instead it would be a part, along with NPIs, of driving the R0 below 1 and hitting herd immunity.

You have dozens of posts here talking about who you saw wearing or not wearing masks. You thought it was “disgusting” seeing someone make a sandwich with his mask around his chin. I’m going to go ahead and call bullshit. I hope that you and the millions like you can find your way out of the fear porn bullshit that’s been drilled into you. For some it will take a long time.

There is no longer need for respecting people’s concerns. This became true once the vaccine was available to everyone. Either almost everyone that wants it has it (or is just about to), or they won’t get it. It’s not March anymore. Vaccinations aren’t 3M a day anymore.

How about this…come June, when truly every single person who would want to be fully vaccinated could have been, and everybody else opted out….do you still need to respect others people concerns of whether or not you’ve been vaccinated?

And if not then, then when can you just never wear a mask again and not worry about others in our post vax world?
