We all know Budweiser is where flavor country is really at.Do most beer drinkers enjoy tasting hoppy piss and lament the tingles they feel during their journey for that hella taste?

I presume you have no frame of reference with smoking pot.And you get shit faced every time you step up to that nice bar of yours? You buy fine liquor because it gets you drunk quicker? You don't enjoy a top shelf whiskey for the taste rather than a buzz?
This is a bizarre POV. Wink, you’re out of your element, and have no idea what you’re talking about. Most smoke for the affect, but maybe not to serious intoxication. There is no other reason. Not really a judgement, just saying it is a different approach than many, I think most, drinkers most of the times they tip one.
Murder Mountain on Netflix is an interesting docu-sires that looks at this ongoing challenge with growers in Humboldt. There was a good 60 Minutes segment on that. They interviewed a CA grower who basically makes no money due to all the regulatory compliance he has to do. The Sierra Nevada is full of "off the grid" growers, and there's no appetite for state or federal enforcement.
Not sure what crowd you're referencing, but I'm talking O-3 and below here
Not everybody smokes like Spicoli...plenty of people smoke weed the way -- to your point above -- people drink alcohol who aren't trying to get "to intoxication."
Not bizarre, but it is my own experience/POV. And what element must I be in? I went to college in 70s. I NEVER saw anyone smoke for ANY reason but to get high for funsies. Has youth nature changed so much? The people I know in their 50s and 60s partake for "medicinal" purposes of some self diagnosed problem or to get a recreational high. I have yet to meet anyone who eats edibles for the flavor of weed or smokes because they like the taste of the smoke. Argue that folks smoke to "relax" short of intoxication if you like. But as I said above, that is an effect on THC on the brain. But we can enjoy a fine wine for the taste and how it enhances a meal. Yeah, my POV. Don't hate. This is a bizarre POV. The same "light buzz" that people seek when drinking a couple beers is no different than the "light buzz" people seek when smoking pot. It's the same impulse, and the same result. Not bizarre, but it is my own experience/POV. And what element must I be in? I went to college in 70s. To be honest the family on both their sides has had issues with addition and mental illness, so they are not a great representation of a person(s) who use occasionally.

The DOD has to follow state laws, too. No one wants to argue over where to relocate a base over a conflict with local laws and regulations.I'll be critical of the DoD's policy toward weed as long as the DoD remains hypocritical about substance abuse as a whole.

I absolutley know people who use cannabis for legit medical reasons. Sorry if I wasn't clear, but I was responding to a post about legalization, and the Navy's policy response juxtaposed with its treatment of alcohol.I think part of the equation is that there are plenty of people you don't know that use some form of cannabis for diagnosed conditions. Seizures is a big one, and a managed treatment has shown to help significantly. Not everyone who is using it is smoking or eating it just to get high.
