I had LASIK as well, however the flight surgeon who cleared me (Point Mugu) made a note of it, and assured me it wasn't a big deal and that it just takes time to get the waiver.

I'm wondering if this is your experience as well.

Are you out stationed at Point Mugu? That's where I am and will be until heading to OCS. I am in FRC AT1.

@Bert Beryy I did a full flight physical, and submitted without an actual LASIK waiver. My doc just annotated in the comments section that a LASIK waiver is recommended. He then said that it's a long process, but assured me that it was nothing to worry about.

@Josh3714 I'm stationed over at Port Hueneme in a construction battalion. I'll be here as well until shipping.

Well time goes slower the closer it gets to something you are waiting for. So if you stay awake now when time is going faster, you can sleep during the slower portion. Right?
Well if you take the infinite limit as time to notification approaches zero... No....

Decided to stay at the gym for an extra 1.5 hours to get my mind off results...in the words of the immortal CT Fletcher.... F*** overtraining!

We finally made it. When we wake up, we'll be within hours of our phone call. Godspeed everyone!
This was me last night. I ran until I couldn't run anymore then went to bed. Oh hello shin splints.

All,

Sorry for the double post - but looking for advice from you guys. My OR is normally good about returning emails, but I emailed him on Monday just to check-in with regard to the board and I haven't heard back from him all week. I'm thinking he maybe missed the email or something?

I haven't called or anything because I didn't want to bother him, but was wondering if it was worth giving him a call this morning or waiting to hold off to this afternoon when results may actually be available. I also work really close to the OR office so I could just take a quick bus ride (two stops) and see if he is there and if he isn't, have someone else check for the results (I'm assuming that others have access). Let me know what you guys think! To others not awaiting board results - forgive me for being over anxious, but these are long awaited results!

You could try your officer processor.

You could try your officer processor.

How do I get his/her contact information? These are the only contacts listed on the website -
Command Duty Officer, Command Master Chief, Chief Recruiter, Public Affairs Office, Administrative Department, Officer Programs, System Administration,
Leads/Marketing Department, Educational Specialist

Oh. My OR has included the OP on some emails in the past, so that's how I have his contact info. However, you could probably call the duty officer and get the number for the processor.

My OR gave me my processor's name and contact info sometime during the application process... maybe if you sift back through your emails you'll find that your OR did the same? Or maybe not.

I would wait till you see people on here start posting ProRecs...that way you know results are actually out. No point in bugging them if you KNOW they acually aren't

I'm right there with you. I didn't care if my OR or processor knew the results I just wanted to know if my kit went to board. Two calls to leave a message with my OR and another call plus text to my processor and no return info. So I just gave up (nothing could have been done if it hadn't) and have waited until this afternoon when I plan to call again.

I would like to echo this as well just wait until at least this afternoon to start calling.
