They’ve had the unofficial results for about 2 weeks, they just haven’t had the official results typed up and signed by the admiral for official release

Probably much longer than that if the board started on time. The actual board while the most important piece of the puzzle is actually what takes the shortest time. The time that takes the longest is the looking for OCS dates based on when people put they could leave, when schools start, other priority workload, etc..... The getting the selection list out is really a lower priority compared to what the processors also do.

To give you a backstory before they would attach OCS dates to the list of result they would often be out the same week, board start on Monday, results to NRC on Tuesday, they would verify those selected were still eligible, type up the list and send it back for signatures and released on Friday, or sooner.

Haven’t seen it anywhere else, but does selection make you ineligible for e7?
It does not. If you made it off this cycle you could still go through the season depending on when your class would be. I'd almost say don't go through the season as you'd pay for uniforms then have to pay to get them altered again in Rhode Island but that's just my opinion. If being a chief is important than you could. But being picked up for OCS doesn't negate your selection to Chief.
