OCS 03Nov2023 SNA/SNFO Board

Going to be lurking on here for a bit, if anyone has questions or anything feel free to message me. I watched this sub for months without saying anything so I would love to be of help to others. My scores were 42 5/7/6, Aeronautics/Pro Flight 3.2 GPA, Flight Instructor, and Commercial Pilot Cert.

If you got in with those ASTB scores I am feeling really good right now. I usually have access the NRC sharepoint were they post results but i am at work right now and dont have access at the moment to check and see if they uploaded the results yet. 😭

I really feel like Flight hours and ratings matter more than others think. My scores ESPECIALLY OAR were at most "Okay-Good".

Maybe, maybe not. There's still a lot of unknowns at the moment so I wouldn't be rushing to conclusions. OAR isn't really considered though.

From my experience on these threads and the insight from others (including former aviation recruiters) the most important thing they look at it ASTB scores followed by GPA. Flight hours and ratings dont mean anything to the navy if your ASTB score is trash. Different mindset to the Air Force which loves that stuff. The Navy prefers a clean slate from what I here.

Exactly, my feeling is a high selection rate especially given the really low number of applicants. Which gives me a little bit of hope since I've been at this for two years and have been through the dark times of slaughter boards.
