Does your BOL say anything about a board or that they have no selection information? No idea, I’m not saying anything else until my BOL is updated with a Pro-Rec Y or N. ?
I’m an AT1 at VUP-19, you?What’s your rate?

That's totally understandable, sometimes you just want to trust people 100%Yes, completely changes everything ?. 10 years of making sure I see everything in black and white first, and I choose today of all days to trust someone without asking more questions. It was the perfect storm.
Lesson learned, always wait for official results.DUDE!!! Talk about a terrible morning to a great afternoon! That's good news my man.
True, but man if I heard from my commander I wasn't selected I would have done the same thing! I think a lot of us would. When you're enlisted it sometimes feels like, who am I to disregard what my commander just said and wait for results? That's someone you should trust so I get it! Nothing wrong with what happened really. If anything, it shows a level of trust that is necessary for leadership to be effective. You don't really want to always have a doubt in the back of your mind that your leadership is somehow screwing you over.Lesson learned, always wait for official results.
In a way, he didn't technically give him bad gouge as his name was not on the list he was currently viewing....True, but man if I heard from my commander I wasn't selected I would have done the same thing! Fair enough! I certainly don't know what enlisted life is like. I wasn't trying to disparage him, I would have definitely done the same thing (in fact I did when I freaked out about not having an ocs date a few weeks ago) just reiterating for everyone not to freak out until official results are in.True, but man if I heard from my commander I wasn't selected I would have done the same thing! You should have said "sir, thanks for letting me know you looked at the wrong list, and BTW doesn't a mistake like this mean my EOT gets bumped up at least one level?"Soooo, super funny story. He was looking at the STA-21 Pilot/NFO results. Let this be a lesson, even Captains make mistakes sometimes ?. This dude just sent me on an emotional roller coaster.
Broski, are you still on AD?I hope Tony and triumph make it. It'd be sweet to have another HM there and Tony has been a huge asset already.
Wait until after OCS to get any new ink. Because before you ship out to OCS you'll go back through MEPS for one brief final medical screening. At which point they'll ask you has anything changed since you first went to MEPS. At which you'll have to tell them you got new ink. Then they'll have to notate it and determine if it meets Navy Tattoo regs or if you need a waiver. All which may delay your shipping or maybe even disqualify you from shipping in totality.Random question/thought: Does having a tattoo affect the chances of being selected? I am looking to get one on my inner forearm regardless of being selected or not and was wondering if it would affect my selection chances for further boards.
