OCS 02Nov20 SNA/SNFO (Pilot/NFO) Board

Just got a text from my recruiter saying they "should be receiving pilot results soon. (probably not today, but any day now)".

I didn't ask for an update but he threw that out to me. I must have one of the best recruiters lol

I wonder if that means they've finalized scheduling OCS dates, clearly something happened based on what @TonyWillingham said and my recruiter now saying results should be out any day now.
Well from what I've experienced so far "any day now" likely means a month from now... Either way though I'll hope for the best abd prepare for the worst. See ya'll in December!

Yeah not fun. The back and forth time difference between board result times is pretty sucky. But in all fairness, most of us aren't even in the military currently so it's not like we deserve results at any specific rate.

December is sounding more and more reasonable now lol.

Yeah and I've got a paper to write. I'm waiting on starting because my mind is so preoccupied on what's going to happen within the next couple hours lol.

Technically, what's been said is not official news. Indication of selection could be out in one form or another, that could be something like having and OCS date or not which may be something the CAPT is referring to. Once the official list drops the forum will go banana's with "ProRec-Y/N SNA/NFO". No one has gotten a call from the recruiter stating selection or not.

Edit to include Excel spreadsheet for lurkers

The results list is complete, just not released. He reviewed it looking for my name and saw that I was a non-select. I’m fortunate in the fact that I know a lot of people who can get me info early. Unfortunately, this time it was bad news. You guys should definitely hear something next week since they didn’t send it out today.

Of course, I’d be thankful for a PROREC-Y any time. But I’d be EXTRA thankful if it were before THANKSGIVING. I hear PROREC-Y’s go well with cranberry sauce.

I guess I'll be having my cranberry sauce à la mode...

Regardless, I'm thankful for this forum, all of you guys, and the information we have all aggregated together. Have a great Thanksgiving, gents.

Results list is out somewhere so you guys should hear something soon. I was just informed by a CAPT 1320 that I was not selected this time around.
Im sorry to hear that, I appreciate all the info you have provided to this forum.

Out of curiosity did your profile ever show you as having a tentative OCS date that you were aware of?

Soooo, super funny story. He was looking at the STA-21 Pilot/NFO results. Let this be a lesson, even Captains make mistakes sometimes ?. This dude just sent me on an emotional roller coaster.

Holy sh*z.

Yeah, that would be a roller coaster lol thank goodness though.

Random question/thought: Does having a tattoo affect the chances of being selected? I am looking to get one on my inner forearm regardless of being selected or not and was wondering if it would affect my selection chances for further boards.

If it were me, I would probably wait until after ocs. However, I have no idea if it effects selection. You may need a waiver depending on where it is and how big. If im wrong someone please correct me.

I knew it, somehow I just knew it hahaha. I was like how does he have results like that?

So does that change this board and results being done and not released yet?

I had to complete multiple papers on tattoos, where they are and why I got them. Its has to be included in your package. Not sure how it effects anything if the board already met though...

Yes, completely changes everything ?. 10 years of making sure I see everything in black and white first, and I choose today of all days to trust someone without asking more questions. It was the perfect storm.

Did he say if the results for the civilians were done yet? Or are they still calculating?

And that means you still have a chance!!
