It's actually more safe in the sense no cross fit box has open operations without a cert. level I coach also every box has a transition period to show people the movements to keep them safe. Crossfitters tend to be stronger, faster and fitter.

People that were Pro Y before you and awaiting OCS. Also they always hold a few spots for people close to aging out. You just got selected you'll have a wait before a FS. Personally I waited 3 months to go to OCS. It also just depends on how many openings they have in future classes.

It all depends on the A-Pool situation. I know people that waited up towards 6 months to start IFS where as I only waited a month or two. All is dependent and you know nothing till you name is called.
