one huge pro over topgun was the flight scenes. In topgun, it seemed as though there were about 12 different little clips taken and they recycled those throughout the movie. In this one, the shots/computers made it look like one big long scene.

Go to an OSO and start putting your application package together. Once you start to go over all the details, he will be able to tell you if you are "competitive". Theres not really a basic standpoint. As long as you meet the minimum requirements, all anyone on this site will be able to tell...

How far down the chain do they differ? The big names at the top should all be the same. The names all the way down the chain will differ and you probably wont get the exact chain until you get there.

As long as you pass the minimums with the test then you're fine. Once selected for OCS, they dont really matter any more. And no, your 100 word motivational statement won't be looked at when you go to topgun. :-)

I was 10 week PLC-C and did my flight physical after I came back. The OCC guys need to take it before. More than half the guys who went down to P-Cola with me were OCC who left for the current January class. Double check that you're OCC as opposed to 10-week PLC. If so, you will need it before.

That was the size and font last year. Should be the same still but cant guarantee. If you have your old one still and are getting a new one again once you get down there, I reccommend cutting out the letters of your last name and taping them together in a row. Saves a ton of time. Only...

Definately...i tried armstrong without the pushups at first and only made small gains. Huge difference if you do them every morning.

Dont listen to the enlisted recruiter. Also pushups arent part of the PFT. You need to get 20 dead hang pullups to max out.

Dont kill yourself...you can always update your PFT score if need be. If you get hurt again though, you're screwed for a lot longer.
