The 27 page .pdf file is the "marine gouge". A simple Google search yielded this site: http://www.chicagomarineofficer.com/astbprep.htm with more resources and forums than are mentioned here.

Sure this gouge is six years old, but the ideas and concepts covered in it are the same ones tested today. It has concepts that the review books (Barron's/Arco) miss out on, so it definitely doesn't hurt to work through it. Hopefully you're not cramming a week before the test!

Does the Australian Royal Navy not address facial hair in their grooming standards? Anyone have some insight? My best guess is that it's allowed as long as it's presentable. Is the US military's grooming standards considered more strict than other countries'?

I took the ASTB this morning. Got an 8/8/8 67. Not too bad! I studied everyday for about three weeks using the Barron's Book, Arco Book and the marine gouge I found here on AirWarriors. I can go into detail about my test and my impressions if anyone wants it.

From everything that I'm reading, the "national" scholarship refers to the 4-year scholarship that high school students apply and get. The side-load are for those already College Programmers or in college.

Am I able to calculate my ASTB scores from the amount of correct/incorrect answers on my practice tests? Is that calculation method avaliable or is it some complex algorithm? I have searched the ASTB thread, all the gouges at my disposal and the Arco and Barrons books and can't find an answer.
