    Airsickness and Helos

My second ride I was heaving so hard that I experienced this of the gas type...not fluid or solid. Not sure where the comm button is located in the T-34, but in the T-6 its on the side of the PCL. Everytime I have yakked I always seem to thrust my knees outward and trigger the mic for a few...

    Airsickness and Helos

there are several things that get me sick quickly: 1) instructor flying 2) aggressive climbs, >20˚ where I lose sight of the ground 3) negative Gs and 4) multiple touch and go's in the pattern. Again, don't mean to be whining, just when any of the above occur the nausea sets in almost...

    Airsickness and Helos

Have one...doesn't help at all. Perhaps I am not wearing it correctly although I believe I am...however, I do know that when I turn it up to levels 4 & 5 it causes my hand to flex involuntarily.

    Airsickness and Helos

i appreciate the advice from everyone. The CO has my back here and regularly comes down to the flight to see how its going (he was a bad airsick case as well in primary). I hate the spin chair. I've done it so much that it doesn't bother me anymore...unfortunately it never really helped me adapt...

    Airsickness and Helos

Has anyone with a history of airsickness experienced problems in helos? Specifically the 57? I have really been struggling with airsickness in primary and came within 2 rides of an elimination ride. I've gotten to the point where I can control it to where I am not active OR choke it back down...

Sam Browne Belt to borrow in Pensacola?

if you call the NEX online store or whatever its called they have that stuff in stock and ship it overnight (I think they require it to be shipped overnight). Things might have changed but 1.5 years ago my friend got all of his dress blue stuff in less than a week.

Can I get a new logbook?

got it thanks. we have to keep our logbooks here--there is a gouge sheet we get on check in. I already have a feeling its wrong. any chance if i called supply back at Pensacola they would ship me another one?

Can I get a new logbook?

no it was just water. i was trying to fix a leak in the spigot on my Brita purifier. I ended up breaking it and spilling water everywhere. The pages are all crusty and some of the ink is smeared.

To make a long story short, I spilled some liquid on my logbook. Still usable but looks kinda crappy. Is there anyway I can get a new one?

The best route for becoming a military aviator

My best friends at JSUPT have been Air National Guard and AF Reserve studs. Once they commission, they basically start the UPT process right away and know what they are going to fly. They said while they can't just suck at life, it takes some of the pressure off because they know their career...

Getting a NROTC scholarship and going to a school other than your choices

also, not sure if this is what you are getting at, but per the ROD, if you attend a school (non NROTC affiliated) close to another school with an NROTC program, there is some paper work that can be done which will allow you to partake in the program. For instance, a student at another college...

"I say to Mr. Obama: Let's get on with it. Let's invest in the future."

I am not economics expert, but I think the problem has more to do with that more and more debt is devaluing the currency. The percent of GDP isn't as imporant, because as you pointed out, it varies per country. Since our currency is only worth something because our government says it does, there...

    Military Emblems Trademarked?

use a different company is my advice. we ran into problems for our patch having trademark/copyright issues. Some companies are willing to take the chance and others are much more reserved. Of the three I have dealt with, none have had an issue with wings.

Yes, sir, of course. The individual I was referencing is also very good at making himself standout i.e. challenging ideas, showing up in wrong uniform, and, my favorite, wearing Oakley boots with his flightsuit. The first document I actually read here was the 33rd's "Dragon Rules Censored"...

we have to earn our flightsuits again at Vance (since we go through Phase 1=API of Air Force Training). Until then we wear khakis. Earning flightsuits is different than API...you have to pass boldface EP tests...which means flightsuits can be taken away even on the flightline. This basically...

That completely depends on the school. NROTC is definitely not the once a week thing that some market it as at many schools. It also depends on your level of involvement. Even at the lowest level of involvement, you can probably count on having just more than 'one a week thing.' You may wear...

    NFO to Pilot during college?

hmmmm i would ask around this board and whoever your program director is to see if this includes PRK. To me, that would seem to be a waste of a potential pilot if you were not allowed to undergo PRK, but I know STA-21 is different that other commissioning programs.

Very true, you don't have the luxury of a guaranteed designator and I did go to a school that was 40k+ a year. The reason I recommend NROTC over BDCP is simply the experience.
