    x = 2nd Lts y = 1st Lts z = Capts x + y = 30 x + z = 45 y + z = 35 Solve. It's a simple algebraic substitution problem, with just 3 variables as opposed to 2.

There is NO, I repeat NO provisions for anyone to bring high-capacity magazines into the state. You MUST have owned them before the ban came into effect. You can NOT transfer them or sell them to another person, they must remain yours, be destroyed, or sold out of state. CA gun laws suck. MA...

Haha, good man. That being said, sometimes people's hands don't mesh up with the P226... big grip. My hands fit the P226 just fine, but I think the P229/P228 is one of the most perfect grips EVER made.

    Kneeboards...

mikelack: We can use what we please. Just have to buy it. Key to a good kneeboard in a single-pilot tactical cockpit, at least in my experience, is simplicity. 15 pouches and 300 pages of stuff doesn't generally help. It's always funny watching guys start T-45s... they have the ENTIRE...

    USPSA/IPSC - first match - pics

Well that's good to know. I never understood how they can have "practical" in the title with people shooting those race-guns. Hardly practical. Picture shooting inside the "house" is neat.

Why not IDPA? Who wants to compete against a bunch of race guns... that's not realistic. Cool as sh!t to watch though. Cool pics, looks fun, I've always wanted to try.

    Left-handed sig?

Ahh, yes a 1911 chambered in .38 Super. The .38 Super is a neat cartridge, used extensively in competition. Many European countries like it too because in many Euro countries, you can not own a firearm chambered in a military cartridge.

  27. Fly Navy

    Left-handed sig?

The .45ACP falls into the "heavy and slow" bullet category. 9mm tends to be "light and fast". It's all relative. .40 tends to be "sorta heavy and sorta fast". Real simple... there are generall two camps... those that like light and fast and those that like heavy and slow. There are pros and...

    Left-handed sig?

No, you seem knowledgeable, I'm just trying to dispel the bad gouge on 9mm. Nothing debateable that I've read. I steer clear of reading anything that is more "emotional"... i.e. maybe the writer has an axe to grind on one ammo vs another. Any mentioned of .45 "knocking a man down" and I'm...

    Plane Crash in KY

Going into an unfamiliar airport is a challenge (not saying the pilots were unfamiliar)... going into a smaller airport with less facilities, less lighting, less aides, etc, makes it a little tougher. Sh!t happens. People make mistakes. There was an airliner that crashed into the Everglades...

    Left-handed sig?

Of real world shootings, not jello tests, not scientific ballistic data, actual people being shot and sometimes killed, quality 9mm, .40, and .45 JHPs performed nearly identically. We're talking 96-98% one-shot-stops fired into the chest. Now, of course you can't go off of one-stop-shots in real...
  32. Fly Navy

    Left-handed sig?

Mmm, incorrect. First of all, 115gr is widely regarded as too light for 9mm. The 127gr +P+ load or the 147gr P load are excellent performers. They are ON PAR with a 230gr JHP. Believe it. 9mm, .40, .45... it doesn't matter. In a QUALITY JHP, they perform nearly identically. Now, bring a rifle...
  33. Fly Navy

    Left-handed sig?

Some are designed that way too. 9mm FMJ is designed for penetration. Over-penetration of a human body is normal for that bullet (and others). Just food for thought :)

I remember watching a show about F-117 development. They had two teams working on it concurrently in two hangars, next to each other. They worked in such shifts that they didn't know the other team existed or that there were two F-117s being developed. Pretty wild.

    First handgun

Try the SIG P229/P228 series if you're looking for something mid-size (P226 being a full-size duty pistol... ala same size Beretta 92FS). Also, the Glock 23 is a mid-size version of the Glock 22. What model S&W was it?

Great choice, glad you like it :) It's a great handgun, I love just looking at mine :) Can't go wrong with a SIG in semi-auto ;) I will strongly recommend AGAINST the FN Five Seven if you want it for anything other than novelty. There is no practical application of the Five Seven for...

In general, with Pensacola you can tell by looking at the houses in the neighborhood. It's a general rule of thumb, doesn't always work. Don't live "downtown". As for specifics, it's been a while since I've been there, so I'll let others chime in. Last I checked, the biggest crime is the drug trade.
