To each his own. Personally, I think black shoes look stupid.
That's ok, a guy in VT-7 wore the same skullcap for the entire T-45 syllabus without ever washing it until he got winged... *puke*
What? I had an O-4, when I was in A-pool, tell me I "better get some brown shoes, I'm in aviation now". There are superstitions.. and then there is just being teh ghey.
But USE them. SDOs are there for you. If you get tagged as an SDO on CQ det, prepare to be a DD b!tch. Guess what, when you go for CQ, you get to use the SDO yourself.
When we qual'd and wanted to go boozing, we called the SDO to drive us around, his answer "Guys, I was on duty for 12 hours...
Dude, awesome. The fear is normal :) It's going to be a blast though... I can still vividly remember my first cat and trap. I'm jealous, I can't wait to qual in the Rhino.
If he's selecting next week, it would at least give an overall TREND. The trend may be incorrect at his selection, but at least he has SOME idea, rather than none. Don't be so defeatist.
Lighten up, Francis...
Talking about Space 'A'? I know there is a Space 'A' publication that lists all the flights. Contact the Air Terminal or Base/Air Ops for your local airstation.
Don't forget to try calling the airlines and asking for military discount (don't ask for military rate... that could be more)
What does FWD do in the T-bird? In the Rhino (called NORM), the back seat still works.
I don't think the pilot was negatively affected... one of the IPs in Meridian was there when it happened. They all wanted to wail on the O-6 though, apparently he was joking and bragging about it at the...
The worst question anyone can ask is "why do you need more than one?" Who ever said anything about need? The 2nd Ammendment is not needs-based. It's a right.
Why do you need a Corvette? You don't.
Ding-ding-ding. That's where crime breaks down to a problem of economics. Is the potential cost (getting shot) worth the deed? In an area where people are free to own firearms... the cost and threat go way up. Gun-free zones are HAVENS for criminals.
Of course, though the amazing thing is, some of those infected with the anti-gun sentiment truly believe that defending yourself with a gun is horrible. They'd rather you "put your keys between your fingers" or whatever other bullsh!t.
But you're right, the right of self-defense is a birth...
A product of the 89 Import Ban and the 94 Assault Weapons Ban (it still exists in some states...)... oh and the fact that HK = overpriced
That being said, I wish I had one...
Stainless actually looks really good on a lot of handguns. My Ruger GP-100 is gorgeous. It's when you get a$$holes with "chrome" type finishes that are uber-flashy. Looks stupid.
I own a bare bones P226. Couldn't tell you the model number, it was before they had 100 million variants. The other variants have cool features, but are not necessary. Your call.
