Wow. The nose authority on that is eye watering.

    Lock & Load???

Lock and Load originates from the days of the musket. You locked the striker (flint) back and loaded the flash pan. At least, that's what I've heard.

    F-8 Ejection

F-8... what a sexy fighter... a real fighter too. Last of the gunfighters... I'd kill to get some time in one :)
  8. Fly Navy

    F-8 Ejection

Depends on the boat schedule. It's usually either ACM, CQ, or multi-plane ONAV.

    M16 Replacement

6.8mm was tested in the current war. They've also tested other firearms as possible replacements, including the XM-8. A few others from HK have also been tested.

I think it's actually a Hague Convention thing. No 'dum-dum' bullets.

    Low Flying B-52

That was ghost... and we all know how ghost is on the board.

    Low Flying B-52

It was rhetorical. Induced drag is the worst when slow and dirty, not fast and clean... I think there is another explanation to ground effect, but I could be completely wrong. Edited to add: Looked it up, seems it's a debatable subject. Many believe it has to do with induced drag, and some...

    Actually... you can't spell either.

Question of the day on court tv

There are a couple people on the board that have used firearms to defend themselves... I won't point them out, I'll let them do that, but they're here.

Question of the day on court tv

My closet is a liberal anti-gunner's nightmare... Speaking of, I need a side-saddle for my shotgun. :)

Come on dude, you fly. Certain aircraft are nose down in level flight at certain speeds. This is not uncommon.

My Vector V-47C is a clone of the AK-47, however it's semi-automatic, not fully-automatic. It functions flawlessly. The AK-47 is the most cloned rifle on the earth probably (maybe Mausers win that)

    Naval Aviator poser!

Who cares. No way he's who he says he is. Sorry, but I worked hard to get my wings. Oh, and even more importantly, people have died wearing or trying to get wings. Fvck him.

That would be where you are wrong. They've been training Navy Charlie guys for a while.

Of course, you're flying 4 turboprops. Turboprop reliability > Piston reliability Be kinda neat to fly to Hawaii and Australia though.

    Naval Aviator poser!

I like Goober's idea. There is a whole organization dedicated to blowing SEAL posers out of the water, sometimes bringing charges against them I believe. Do the same with this a$$hole.

How long is primary taking you???

Amazing... I'm still amazed when I see an Ensign get pilot wings these days. More amazed if they can go through the jet pipeline as an Ensign... hardly ever see that.
  35. Fly Navy

How long is primary taking you???

Oh well, we all have our delays. I actually finished Primary and Advanced on time, on track. The problem was the 7 month wait in-between...
  36. Fly Navy

How long is primary taking you???

Wow. Any particular reason or is it just running typical Corpus slow?

Is Corpus still teh sux for completing on time? I remember when I went through Primary, Whiting guys took about 6-7 months and Corpus guys took about 8-9.

I have a Vector AK-47 that's awesome. Maybe I"ll check out their MP5 clones when I have more money I want to blow ;)
  43. Fly Navy

    Fn

    A semi-auto MP5 (called HK94) will cost a couple thousand. Get an AR-15, it's worth it, I have two. I have a 20" A2 HBAR configuration and a 16" M4 configuration. I love them, they're my favorite rifles. I built both for under $700.
  44. Fly Navy

    Fn

    A no-sh!t full-auto? Several thousand... if you're lucky.
  45. Fly Navy

    Fn

A non-HK semi-auto clone with a 16" barrel is in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM cooler than a full-auto HK MP5. Dude, quit smoking the crack. ;) If you are suggesting "Special Weapons" MP5s... they're sh!t.

    T-44/TC-12 Flight Gear

You don't know what flight gear is until you've strapped into a jet... I'd imagine you still where SV-2/Airsaves... I think that's why my buddies in P-3s told me.
