You can buy all of that stuff in Quantico. Just bring the normal stuff you need in your civilian life - Laptop, movies, clothes, etc... Oh, and Rock Band helped pass the time while you're sitting in your room for 3 hours waiting to be secured for the day. I'd consider picking that up. Have fun!

How hard is it to get jets? Not that hard if you put in the required effort. Know your EPs and procedures cold, chairfly the hops through Fams, and kick ass. Treat it as a career, not college, and you'll be fine.

DJET was my worst experience in the pool yet. And that includes the 1st class swim qual required at TBS. Having to swim across the pool in all the jet gear, then tread water long enough to find, unscrew, and blow up the damn life preserver about killed me.

I wouldn't worry about it. You've got a few A/C to learn between now and then. And if my feelings for the T-34 are any indication, you'll love them all.
