Talked to my OSO an hour ago. He said that PLC air contracts are still being handed out, but OCC air contracts are temporarily halted.

I am headed to TBS in two weeks as well. How would they decide which air contracts class up immediately for TBS and which do IFS first? I'm guessing PFT score and swim qual have something to do with it?

I don't get it. If they just doubled the number of Marines beginning API each week, why would they also need to stop handing out air contracts? I know the pipeline is backed up but this seems like overkill.

I heard the pool of Marines waiting for API is around 300 right now, with 7-8 classing up each week. So I guess doubling it means that around 15 will begin each week. So that means people just entering the pool will be starting in about 4-5 months. Glad to see the wait is decreasing
