No, I'm Navy. A duty station that is temporary duty under instruction for less than 140 days is considered TDY and per diem is authorized. And API is listed as 139 days. I should stop discussing this cuz someone is liable to see it and issue some ordmods.

I didn't actually go through OIS, but I was in RI for BOOST a little over a year ago and I can tell you that from what I saw, OIS guys have it easy. If BOOST and NSI are a breeze (and they are), then OIS is a dead calm. Just be prepared to dodge the goose ****.
