Did anyone else get an exact OCS class date from a recruiter but it just says FY21 on the PDF? I would assume that date was just assigned after the official document was signed off on and released.

yes I got told my date is 24Jan21, but I leave for a 2 week quarantine on 10Jan21 I’m trying to get pushed back to the March date though if that’s possible

IDK yet.. My command got the email going into the weekend so I should find out something this week hopefully. My PRD is December and I was already out of the door. I would hope to class up in January!

AD member here. I saw my name on the PRO Y list posted on this forum but can't access BOL with a busted CAC and my triad hasn't heard anything. Anyone know how the acceptance letter and stuff works?
Your chain of command (CO) will receive your final selection letter and service obligation letter. There are several members in your command that have "Command" access to BOL, ADMIN, CO, XO, CMC that can all see your BOL board status.

Also if you are active duty, you wont get your final selection letter with your date until they make you available.

I received conformation from my CO today, but now I have to complete a conditional release due to me being FTS. Has anyone had to do this? According to Mr. Celestin is has to be approved by BUPERs, but my command has not idea what to do. I am still waiting to see if Mr. Celestin can provide more guidance.

Yeah I am doing this now. Are you active duty? Or are you in the reserves on full time orders?

I'm technically paid by the Reserves. It's called FTS or full time support. We're basically active duty assigned to help Reserve commands. Do you have the email this request goes to?

You will just do a 1306 requesting a release. Go to NPC and check the MILSPER library for the correct MILSPER. If not, just get with the dealer to see what he wants it to say, but its not that difficult.

I have no idea. If you were a reservist I would have an idea. You can find the form pretty easy online and will just need your CoC to sign off on it.

Good luck, HMC! I am a former HM1(FMF) that earned my commission last year for SWO. I had never been on a ship until I showed up to my first one as an Ensign. Needless to say, you get plenty of funny looks and comments going from Corpsman to SWO but it's well worth it. Keep up the motivation! I hope to see you out in the fleet.

What study material did you use for the OAR? I'm a terrible test taker. But that is the only thing stopping me from applying at the moment.

You can find a ton of resources on Amazon that are all pretty legit. I also purchased a mechanical mathematics book, just to get used to different types of math questions. My OAR was not high, but it's because I bought the books after my first attempt.
