Anthropometric issues (are you too big or even too small or...)

Please search. This has been covered ad-nauseum.

Using Advanced Search and user=feddoc will probably refine it to where most of the good answers are.

I figured the user=feddoc would push you beyond the ones asking the questions, to one of the members who tends to have the better answers on the subject.

what are the anthros for a jet? f18,f22, or f35

Really, who cares? The F-22? The F-35? An AF jet and a jet not yet through its testing phase. There are such things as stupid questions and this is one of them.

ahh i wasnt aware they are in the testing phase still, i assumed they were starting to get integrated.. i must be watching too many movies lol

So it seems like the sitting height for the T-45 is pretty short. That is a jet trainer right? so if we don't fit that does that dq us from jets even though the requirements for all the tactical jets are way larger than that?

Yup, if you can't fly the trainer, you can't train to fly the fleet jets. Waivers are pretty much impossible to get for anthro issues.

So on that note, any techniques for making ones self short from the waist up?

How do they ensure you don't slouch...because with a tape measure i fit everything, but i am right on the line for that stupid euro trash trainer.... .1" could save me.

You can't be serious ...

Do you think you are the first person who has thought of that? Many SNAs have done similar things mostly due to the fact that waivers are going to be very hard to get, as IBB pointed out. How do they ensure? Well, when you get measured I'm guessing you wont be their first.

If you are CLOSE (and I am talking less than 1/2 inch), try to get measured at the end of the day, and jump off the PLF platform a few times.

Also, losing some weight will make your ass smaller and effectively reduce your sitting height and hip-knee length.

Yah, the 45 is TINY, smaller than any current fleet jet. I literally fly with my knees in my face and have to reach around my left knee to tune the radio. Just SEEING the radio is a bit of contortion in the 45A.. 45C is slightly bigger with a more fat-boy friendly layout.

If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying........allegedly. I'm 6'4" and flew the TA-4J, which I assure you is a smaller cockpit that the T-45. I've sat in both.

Think small.
