COVID-19

At what point does he lose his medical license for intentionally lying and giving knowingly wrong medical advice to the entire American populace about whether masks work or not? Even if he lied and gave bad medical advice to “save the masks for the people who need them,” I’m pretty sure there’s a medical oath somewhere that people care about doctors adhering to…
He's not treating patients. He's delivering the details of public health policy where elected officials get a say.

I think there’s momentum towards “counting” previous infection as being “immune”. I think when cooler heads prevail and objectivity (hopefully) is once again the name of the game that influential people will realize what a mistake they made in discounting previous infection.
I don't think that anyone wants to discount prior infections, but if you're trying to make public health policy how do you avoid double counting people who were previously infected and choose to get the vaccine? How do you avoid multiple counts for an individual who gets multiple infections? The simplest way is to encourage everyone to get vaccinated and only count that.

Honest question, If I have antibodies because I had Covid and recovered, why do I need the vaccine to give me antibodies I already have? Is it because it is easier just to give me the vaccine then test for antibodies?
Not sure, but probably. I think if you can show a test result that is equal in surity to a vaccine card proving you have the shot(s), that ought to be good enough for whoever needs that confirmation. But getting the vaccine is definitely the easiest path to proof.

All of the Covid-related tests are not that reliable too.

I saw this floating around the web, and I think this sums up how many people feel when it comes to vaccines

The reason I ask, now that SELRES are mandated to get the vaccine within 120 days, how should natural antibodies/immunity play into that order and not just SELRES let's include AC too.

What's involved in an antibody test, and how accurate are they? I don't know myself.

@jackjack covid is officially over in the US because we’ve passed 80% immunity.

Something to look forward to when your police state will suddenly decide scaryvirus doesn’t matter anymore.

It will be over when we fix this problem, which means when we've infected our way through the remaining 20%.

Like I said, expect more goalpost moving. Israel and Iceland are examples that covid isn’t going to be “over” no matter how many people get vaccinated. It will be over when people say it’s over and it’s just an endemic virus. However the fear and the power grabs will be tough to walk back.

Oh and apparently vaccinated people carry and spread the virus just like unvaccinated people. Which makes the idea of vaccine passports even dumber.

Wishful thinking Taxi1. But this thing is too political at this point. It ain’t over until at least the mid terms, Fauci and Rochelle are fired, and we actually start following the science instead of made up, feel good measures! And frankly, it needs some real leadership, not Sleepy, Creepy Joe and mandatory vaccinations and passports!

We were already there until Delta + unvaccinated = summer shitstorm.

When we get rid of the purple people on this chart, when the ICUs are no longer overflowing and medical personnel aren't at their limit, with the virus percolating along endemically like the flu, we'll be fine. Five in the hospital, one old, likely immune compromised person in the ICU and ventilated, no one sitting in the ER waiting for a bed.

Why include those non covid in your chart except to make it more scary.. Talk about misinformation. I stand by my point; It’s too political at this point!

???

Everyone in the chart has Covid. The purple are just unvaccinated.
31 patients in ICU
23 Covid positive

Somebody is being misleading! Did you even read it or just look at the pretty colors..

And how about some demographics? Co-morbidities?
